Sharad Gurav, a keen and enthusiastic admirer started his art journey through an art gallery located in one of the Western suburbs of Mumbai. His brief stint there helped him to know and get acquainted with various art forms and their historical relevance. It also resulted in his development of good relations with many upcoming and reputed artists in the contemporary art world. Slowly, he started promotion of artists on his own and emerged as a successful art PRO, thanks to his well-knit associations with many artists and art galleries in Mumbai and its surroundings.
Over the years, his associations with art and artists became deeper and finally it resulted in his curatorial assignment, which started with the first curated exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery in June 2014. He has handled PR work for many well-known artists and exhibitions in the leading art galleries. Notable amongst these are exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Artist’s Centre, AKS Art Gallery, Painted Rhythm Gallery, J.S. Art Gallery, Cymroza Art Gallery, P.L. Deshpande Kala Academy, J.J. School of Art and many more galleries and institutions in Mumbai.
